Purpose of the Stipend

To ensure the education of poor and meritorious students who are deprived of educational opportunities due to financial constraints, a directive was issued to the National Planning Ministry on April 20, 2010, to provide stipends. The main objectives of the stipend are:

  • Encourage smaller families and control birth rates
  • Enhance employment opportunities and earning capacity among citizens
  • Alleviate poverty and promote gender equality
